Business Success It’s all in your mindset

I can’t quite remember how we met however what impressed me most about Alicia was her commitment to helping others overcome the barriers to business success. We also share the same motivation for creating a business so we could be at home with our children. Being a WOW Woman takes courage and a helluva lot of self belief. Alicia shares her wisdom and I support her 100% in her quest to resolve the biggest problem on the internet… Cybercrime! This problem is out of control and affects nearly everyone who has accounts online.

WOW Women, Business Coaching, Marketing

Tell me a little about you, your lifestyle and what you are passionate about? I am a home-body and a workaholic, but I love both. In addition to running 2 businesses, I homeschool my 5 year old son… and my ‘hobby’ is reading and studying personal and business development.

So tell me about your business?
I have 2 businesses: My coaching and consulting practice involves working with entrepreneurs on everything business related – from Mindset to Marketing. My newest business is in the development stage, Tokinu, which is an innovative online security

What inspired you to make the decision to create your own business?
I strongly disliked working for other people. I had the entrepreneurial bug when I was a
teenager, so it was only natural that I would dabble in different businesses at an early age.
However, I didn’t become successful until I was 28. At the time I was managing a cellphone store and working as an EFT practitioner part-time. To my surprise I got pregnant. I could not stand the thought of sending my baby off to daycare… so I committed to creating a successful business that would enable me to raise my child on my own terms. That is when I founded Wausau Hypnotherapy LLC, which has since evolved into a global coaching and consulting business (now DBA Alicia Cramer Coaching).

Has there always been a burning desire inside you to create this, or did your business evolve from your original idea?
Where I am today has been a process of evolution. I never imagined I’d be where I am today.

What did/do you find to be the most challenging part of your business?
They say we need to be the change we wish to see in the world. Perhaps what is most
frustrating for me is KNOWING we (humanity) have the power and potential to live in a
more conscious and harmonious world – one where we all fulfill our passion and potential;
yet, we are forced to work within and amongst systems that are disempowering, limiting
and in many cases based on corruption and control. I see a lot of discouraged business
owners. A lot of people struggling; which makes my heart heavy. I know that feeling all
too well. That is the most challenging part of my business, I want to help everyone, but
everyone has their own journey and there is no magic wand in life or business.

What have you learned about yourself during the process of setting up your
I learned that I am a lot smarter and more disciplined than I thought. LOL
Truthfully, this journey has been a massive process of self-growth for me. As we push
beyond our old patterns and limitations, we are forced to confront fears and beliefs that
don’t serve us. I’ve learned that we never get it done. You have to enjoy the process or you will never feel fulfilled.

What advice would you give someone considering starting their own business?
Read and learn about successful business owners. There are a lot of misconceptions about successful people and success in business. A lot of people start a business with the idea that if they build it, the customers will come. When they realize that is not typically what happens, most people get discouraged and give up. By reading biographies of those who’ve achieved success, you’ll be mentally prepared for the road ahead.

What products and services do you provide?
As a business coach and consultant I have 2 facets of my business; the first is the coaching element, including my advanced training as a hypnotherapist and in subconscious reconditioning. Entrepreneurs seek me out when they are tired and frustrated with an old issue adversely affecting their quality of life. That could include fears, insecurities, or anxiety issues.
The other facet of my business is consulting. This is a very different type of service where I help business owners with their business and marketing strategy.
And now there is my newest company Tokinu, which is an online security product designed to protect your accounts from the growing issue with hacking and online scams.

What is the greatest success story for your business?
I’ve had the amazing privilege of many cool things over the years. I’ve been on TV, radio
and even contacted out of the blue by Forbes Magazine. But I have to say that the greatest success of all is being able to work from home, control my schedule and raise my son the way I want to. That for me is the greatest success I could have ever hoped to accomplish.

Alicia Cramer is business coach, consultant, mindset strategist, author, speaker and entrepreneur. Her passion for empowering others was evident at a very young age as was her desire to be an entrepreneur. Her own struggles with depression and self-worth issues eventually led to extensive research and application of mental conditioning techniques in conjunction with understanding Universal Principles and strategies for success. Today Alicia enjoys running her private coaching and consulting practice, as well as her newest
company, Tokinu, a revolutionary online security product.

Getting Collagen-ised!

This month’s WOW Woman is Maria Luba-Muczko from Collagen Colway, one of the UK’s fastest growing direct sales companies. I met Maria at a local networking event and was so inspired with her drive and vision, we hit it off straight away.

You recognise a kindred spirit and I was so impressed by how much she’d achieved in such a small space of time. Her enthusiasm and belief in others is a rare quality and the fact her business creates so much opportunity for others is admirable.

I’m a total Collagen Colway convert and thanks to Maria I now only have one chin and glowing skin.  I injured my upper arm last xmas and its taken so long to heal, since taking the collagen supplements its really speeded up the healing process and now almost have my full range of motion back as couldn’t put my arm behind my back without absolute agony.

na linked in 2Tell me a little about you, your lifestyle and what you are passionate about? I’m a mum of 2 great and talented kids – 24-year old daughter, Olga, and 14-year old son, Greg, both living with me. I have a fabulous and very supportive partner, Michael, also a business person, which makes things so much easier, as we really understand each other. My business Collagen Colway is my true passion and it has grown out of my dreams of independence and flexibility. Being a beginner entrepreneur and a mum does not leave whole lot of space during the day to do other things, but my second passion is NLP and I am committed to developing my skills. It really opens my mind and heart to other people and helps me to understand and communicate with the world and myself(!) at a higher level. I also love travelling and I am happy to explore new places, even round the corner.

So tell me about your business, who/what is Collagen Colway all about? My company Colway UK is a direct sales organisation distributing anti-ageing products. Our main one is pure, natural bioactive Collagen which is a great Polish invention and I am honoured and happy to manage to make the product available in the UK. My business operates globally through a network of independent partners and most of them sell our products on part-time basis, generating a second income stream. But I am really proud my company differs so much from other DS/MLM companies by offering a genuine flexibility, honesty and no hard sale approach.

What inspired you to make the decision to create your own business? It was triggered by a few factors that coincided. First of all, I simply loved Collagen. I was truly impressed with the results on my skin and amazed that such a quality product was not popular in other countries. At that time I was made redundant from the university I had worked for nearly 10 years, still leaving me with some income from the translation agency I was running, but with doubts if I manage to maintain my family. And lastly, I thought I wanted a dramatic change in my life. I was open for new experiences and I really needed some fresh air to breath.

Has there always been a burning desire inside you to create this, or did your business evolve from your original idea? My business reflects my philosophy of life that has always been part of me – flexibility and independence. And I had had it on my mind for a long time, but quite surprisingly, my business happens to be a sales organisation and selling as such is absolutely new to me.

family picWhat did/do you find to be the most challenging part of your business? The very beginning was definitely the most challenging. When I came to the UK 5 years ago, although my head was buzzing with ideas and my motivation was skyrocketing, I only knew one person, my sister, who became my business partner. So, I realised that a good will is not all you need, and I had to get suppliers, legal and accounting services as well as find out about legal requirements, and most importantly, find my first distributors who also believed in me and my new product. Without a network of friends and family it was a really difficult task.

What have you learned about yourself during the process of setting up your business? I have simply discovered a totally new person in me. I have managed to overcome lots of personal limitations, get out of my comfort zone, and push myself to do things that I wouldn’t have been able to do if I hadn’t set up my own business.

What advice would you give someone considering starting their own business? That it will take twice as much time and effort as the person believes, but it will open the whole new world and unblocks their true potential, and this is what life is about.

What products and services do you provide? We offer a unique bioactive Collagen which rejuvenates the skin – Are you Looking for a secret of younger looking skin?

High quality anti-ageing programmes, as I believe that just putting a cream on your face, even if it is a magic one, is not enough. I would recommend a more holistic approach for better results. A universal need and a natural solution

We offer second income opportunities – we offer a flexible and “no hard sale” approach to people interested in health and beauty. Become a Partner with Colway International

3DcolWhat is the greatest success story for your business? I believe the greatest success is still to come as we are a fairly new company. But the fact that from an unknown company with a totally new product we have managed to grow to the organisation of a few hundred people right now. They all have trusted us by becoming our distributors using and promoting the products is a real success to me.

How Smart Women Do Business

This month’s WOW Woman is Karen Edgar founder of  Smart Woman Academy. I first got to know Karen when she joined my Grow Your Tribe 90 Day Program . She’s incredibly intuitive and I enjoyed getting to know her during our 1-2-1 sessions. I love her passion and drive and her unique ability to see right into your soul in a very powerful way. I’m so happy to be able to share her brilliance with you as Karen is a breathe of fresh air and anyone who is lucky enough to work with her leaves the session expanded and ready to succeed.

KarenTell me a little about you, your lifestyle and what you are passionate about.

I am a happy single mother with an 11 year old daughter living in beautiful Leamington Spa and running my business Smart Woman Academy from home.  My daughter sees her father regularly which gives me a lot of ‘me’ time and I am a member of Warwick Rock Choir and attend the gym 3 times a week. I am also currently dating a new man, which is a lot of fun.  I adore spiritual matters and love reading and expanding my mind in this area.  I am passionate about living this life to the full and settling the niggle that many have when they feel they are not on the right path in life.  I have a connection with Angels and love the Tarot and anything that brings insight into who we really are.  I also love connecting with people who are on my wavelength and who bring a new perspective to my life.

So tell me about your business, who/what is Smart Woman Academy all about?

In my business Smart Woman Academy, I work with female entrepreneurs and their souls in their quest to be the best they can possibly be whilst balancing their inner and outer worlds.  I provide sound, real and implementable business coaching with intuitive support (including tools like Tarot for Business) to help release whatever is holding them back and keeping their abundance and joy locked away.  I support women to uncover their soul purpose and put them on the path to success, growth and transformation.

SWAWhat inspired you to make the decision to create your own business? I became inspired when I was working in my previous career (HR), and saw first hand how women were allowing themselves to be bullied at work.  One lady in particular was regularly off work with mental health problems – and was very unhappy.  To me it looked like she had chained herself to her desk.  When she saw that I was about to leave HR to begin coaching and working with female entrepreneurs, she said to me – “If I had my time again, I would have been an actress and had my own beauty salon”  As she spoke this normally sullen depressed woman – lit up and had real passion in her eyes and voice!  I asked her why didn’t she do that now.  She shrank back and said “oh I couldn’t possibly”  “it’s too late” and “I have this golden pension waiting for me”.  That one conversation gave me the inspiration to work with women, create a business and vow never to hear those words – “if I had my time again” from any woman.

Has there always been a burning desire inside you to create this, or did your business evolve from your original idea? I have always wondered why people get into cars/trains every day to go to places they don’t want to be and work with people they wouldn’t choose.  So I think there was a germ of an idea, that for me it would be different and then I would help others break free from that kind of living.

What did/do you find to be the most challenging part of your business? I am very passionate and know the transformation I can produce in women, however sometimes articulating that can be difficult.  So promoting myself and becoming more visible with the work that I do has been a slower process than I would like.  I also had a challenge “coming out” with my Tarot for Business work.  I know just how enlightening the Tarot can be, but I couldn’t have guessed how popular it was going to be.

What have you learned about yourself during the process of setting up your business? I have learned how strong I am and how resilient.  I won’t let anything stop me achieving my dreams to grow Smart Woman Academy.

What advice would you give someone considering starting their own business? First and foremost who you are, why you really want to go into business and that your “product” is not the main part of your business.

Don’t underestimate how long it is going to take, and that the main skills you should acquire are Marketing, Relationship building, Authentic Selling and that rejection is part of the deal.

Mindset and Marketing for Introverts in Business

This month’s WOW Woman is Julia Barnickle – founder of The Quiet Entrepreneur . I first met Julia when she joined my Grow Your Tribe 30 Day Challenge Group and she stood out for me. I found her engagement with others both compassionate and generous with a quirky sense of humour. Once I learnt her story I was inspired by her grace and beautiful voice. Julia shares some sage advice on the challenges of running your own business and how introverts in business can market themselves for success.

Tell me a little about you, your lifestyle and what you are passionate about? I’m an introvert and a “Scanner” – I have lots of interests… I love to travel (as long as there’s a comfy bed, and hot and cold running water!). I love learning languages, writing, singing, taking photographs – and I’ve recently started taking videos too. I’m not a great planner – I prefer to “take life as it comes”, staying open to whatever opportunities might present themselves. Before starting my business, I worked in corporate IT, project managing, developing and implementing business software around the world.  The best part of the job was being paid to travel. I live with my husband in a cosy little house just outside London, and dream of the day when my bio reads: “Julia divides her time between London, Florence and the South of France” – or something equally scintillating. In August 2013, after being diagnosed with Breast Cancer for the third time in five years, I helped form the Sing To Beat Breast Cancer Choir. We recorded a charity single, backing classical singers Camilla Kerslake and Blake, to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Campaign, and performed the song live at various prestigious venues, including on daytime TV!

So tell me about your business, who/what is The Quiet Entrepreneur all about? The Quiet Entrepreneur helps introverts to take pride in who they are, instead of being made to feel like failed extroverts, and to build a successful business in a way that plays to their individual strengths and honours their introversion.

What inspired you to make the decision to create your own business? I was inspired by a TED talk that Susan Cain did, about introverts, and by reading her book: “Quiet: The Power Of Introverts In A World That Can’t Stop Talking”. Suddenly, I understood why I hated going networking and making cold calls! I started The Quiet Entrepreneur so that other introverts wouldn’t have to put up with people telling them to market themselves like an extrovert.

Has there always been a burning desire inside you to create this, or did your business evolve from your original idea? When I first decided to start a business, I didn’t have a clue what I wanted to do. I just knew that, after 20 years in a corporate career, I wanted the freedom of working for myself rather than being an employee. It took me nearly two years to commit to any sort of direction, and the business has been evolving ever since. I started off as a life coach and web designer, and pretty soon I realised that I wanted to help small business owners to fulfil their dreams of making a difference in the world. It all fell into place when I decided to support introverts in business, in 2013.

What did/do you find to be the most challenging part of your business? Before I started the Quiet Entrepreneur, I used to find it difficult to promote the business, because I didn’t have a clear message or tribe – so it seemed as though I was promoting myself, which felt a bit self-serving and arrogant. Now I’m on a mission, which makes it easier to promote the message without feeling pushy. There are still times when I get a bit *shy*, when I forget that promoting the business and being successful is not about me – it’s for the benefit of the people I can help.

What have you learned about yourself during the process of setting up your business? I’ve realised that I have more staying power than I ever thought – it’s been a long, hard road to where I am now, and it’s not all plain sailing yet. I’ve learned that the more I’m prepared to talk about the mistakes I’ve made, the more interesting and believable my story becomes, for the people who are following in my footsteps. I’ve also realised that my love of learning has stood me in good stead when it comes to implementing various marketing methods to promote the business.

What advice would you give someone considering starting their own business? Building a business takes time – so, unless you absolutely hate your job, avoid jumping ship to start your business. It’s much easier to attract clients if you have some form of financial security – it means you don’t have to push, or take on less-than-ideal clients, out of desperation. If you do leave your job, perhaps find some part-time work so that you can keep up with your rent or mortgage payments while your business grows. Be prepared for your business to evolve – even if you’re providing more or less the same service as you were in your job. And remember that your business is not about you – it’s about the people you are helping.

What products and services do you provide? I offer individual mentoring, support and advice for introverts in business around mindset and marketing topics, including:

  • creating digital products and on-line programmes
  • promoting the business authentically through speaking, writing and blogging
  • internet marketing and social media marketing

I’m currently working on creating a signature programme which will encompass mindset and marketing support inside a small on-line group.

What is the greatest success story for your business? The Quiet Entrepreneur is really still in its infancy… however, I’ve been invited to speak at the Inner Winner conference in Bratislava, Slovakia, in March 2014, which I’m very excited about. Not only will I have the opportunity to help even more introverts – this could open the door to getting paid to travel in my own business!

Network Your Way To Success

This Month’s WOW is “Network as a way of Life” founder Lirone Glikman. I was first introduced to Lirone via a former WOW Christina Nitschmann. Yes she really is that gorgeous both inside and out in real life. She’s a master connector and I’ve had the privilege of working directly with Lirone. She’s introduced me to so many amazing business owners from all over the world, some of whom will be on our upcoming Ignite Telesummit. I’ve never been the biggest fan of networking however, since meeting Lirone and taking on board many of her tips and strategies, I’ve really benefited and gained many new clients from attending Live events. She’s converted me to the benefits and positively influenced me to attend more networking events and actively seek them out.

Tell me a little about you, your lifestyle and what you are passionate about?    Thank you so much for having me Mary! I am an Israeli, born and raised, and have travelled the world quite a lot. I lived in Sydney, Australia for a few amazing years, and that had a great impact on my personality and approach to life.
I was always fascinated by people and cultures, and the way people interact with one another. I am a positive, optimistic and energetic person who always has my trademark big smile on my face!

I can share that I was always career-oriented, and started crafting my professional skills at the age of 16 as a radio presenter and show producer. In the 16 years since then, I have had a fascinating global career in marketing, sales, TV, and events productions, along with being a social entrepreneur.

I love art, as well as sports like running, rock climbing, and swimming. I am always ready for a good laugh with good company!

So, tell me about your business: what is “Networking as a Way of Life” all about?
I am a business networking coach, speaker, and author, or as I call it, a “business friendships coach.” In my business I help entrepreneurs, business owners, startup founders, career-oriented people, and more to achieve their goals through smart creation and management of business relationships.
It is often said that “people make business with people – not companies.” Almost everything in life and business is about joining forces with other people. I strongly believe that when we improve our communication skills and our relationships, we can get more out of each other in a mutually beneficial way. Business networking is about building relationships, friendships, and trust. Having this kind of connection with others will lead to more opportunities and possibilities for both sides.
Everyone can become good at business friendship-making (networking). I provide tools and techniques to sharpen these skills in face-to-face meetings and online, in order to achieve business goals and get the ultimate results fast and effectively.

What inspired you to make the decision to create your own business?
I am an entrepreneur at heart, and have always come up with ideas for services or products and tried to execute them. I wrote business plans as a teenager, and planned how I was going to create my own business.
I knew I had to learn more and develop relationships in order to create a business. In the past 16 years, I have taken many courses and acquired wisdom from mentors who inspired me. Among them are the incredible Anthony Robbins, Marie Forleo, Itay Paz, Mike Walsh, Nozer Buchia and more. They inspired me and provided me with tools to create my business.
I was also inspired by my friends and acquaintances who kept telling me how my personality, skills, and approach to life had influenced them in a positive way.

I appreciate everyone who was a source of inspiration to me, and who has led me to where I am today.

Has there always been a burning desire inside you to create this, or did your business evolve from your original idea? In my mind’s eye, I always knew my future business’s purpose would be to influence people in a positive way.
I have owned a business in the past as a social entrepreneur where I produced events for social causes. I felt that being in this place of giving and raising awareness for social issues was very fulfilling. I was working with big clients, and I enjoyed it immensely.
However, at some point I got into some difficulties, and things didn’t turn out the way I wanted them to. I lost my motivation and passion, and was upset because I had thought I found my life’s mission until this moment.
Something was missing there, and after a long period of thought and reflection, I decided to go back and find a job, since I wanted to gain more skills and experience.

A year and half later, I met an inspiring person: Mike Walsh, a futurist and a keynote speaker. His interesting business and life story triggered me to realize my destiny and goal in life. My passion for people finally made sense, and my business path was clear to me.

Since then, I have begun a long studding process, and composed my business networking methodologies and concepts.  I’ve started spreading these concepts to the world in 2012 through speaking, workshops, writing, blogging, and my business is growing slowly but surely as it is helping others. I love it!

What did/do you find to be the most challenging part of your business? I define challenges as opportunities to learn, develop and improve.
I encounter all sorts of challenges, like many of my fellow business owners, and these are just some of them: The challenge of ongoing improvement and providing even better services and products.  The challenge of work and life balance.

What have you learned about yourself during the process of setting up your
business? Building a business is an ongoing process of self-discovery and self-mastery. It’s a great journey to go through!

I learned to be more patient.
I am aware of my thoughts and actions today more than ever.
I learned how to manage my time better.
I learned to set boundaries.
I learned what makes me passionate in life.
I learned how much I enjoy helping others.
I learned that I love learning from people, situations, and sources of information.
…and I am still learning all the time!

What advice would you give someone considering starting his or her own business? The best advice I can give is to believe, believe, believe in your vision and your ability to fulfill it.
Choose to do what you love so you will be able to go long distances with it.
Pick the people that surround you, as their support is important for your success.

What products and services do you provide?
I publish practical business networking articles at my blog (
I also write regularly for UK and Israeli entrepreneurship online magazines. ( /

I have published an Ebook: “26 Winning Principles of Business Networking.”

What is the greatest success story for your business? My business is about people, and its success is related to my customers. I see success as everything from the smallest positive comment I get to the biggest winning story: how one or many of my techniques and methods helped someone close a deal or achieve a goal. When people share how I helped them succeed I am grateful and motivated!

The Road To Success

This month’s WOW is Mary Gorham Malia who’s a dating and relationship expert. Obviously with that first name she’s nothing but amazing. I first met Mary through a Business Coaching mastermind Group we were both part of. I’ve loved watching how she’s grown her business, has a clear message and how she’s turned business on its head by taking to the road. Mary has positioned herself as the Expert by claiming it, living it and doing it. She shares some great business tips as well as sage wisdom on life. She’s an inspirational lady and the epitome of WOW.

Tell me a little about you, your lifestyle and what you are passionate about? I’m a business woman, an empty nester and a road warrior. My son is now 30 and my daughter is 19 and in New York City in her second year of college. I’m a proud mother as they are both chasing their dreams and that is the key to happiness. I launched my dating coaching business two years ago and it’s been a joy and a daily learning process to discover what works and what resonates with attracting clients. And finally, I’m passionate about making a difference for the lesbian community. Being a resource for gay women by sharing and teaching them how to make good relationship decisions, which starts with knowing how to date. I also bring a strong focus on working with positive energy, letting go of the past and moving forward as a changing and evolving human being.

So tell me about your business, who/what is Gay Girl Dating Coach all about? Gay Girl Dating Coach helps gay women break through their barriers to finding lasting love by equipping them with tools, techniques and strategies to recognize what a good dating relationship looks like. And great dating is the door to a great relationship.

What inspired you to make the decision to create your own business? I came out later in life and discovered that first off, I knew nothing about how to date and secondly that there is a lot of loneliness, pain and struggle for many women to find a good relationship. I knew there were had to be a better way and I set about figuring that out both for myself and for others. I worked for ten years as a licensed minister in a Christian church, and though I no longer do that work nor follow that religious system, it created a strong faith in me that when we as individuals are supported and loved, we can blossom and learn better ways to live life.

Has there always been a burning desire inside you to create this, or did your business evolve from your original idea? Gay Girl Dating Coach evolved from a series of events in my life including coming out later in life, having to learn how to conquer the dating world as it exists now in the 21st century with so much technology, seeing how women struggled to find a great relationship (me included) and deciding to leave my world as an executive in the nonprofit sector. It all brought me to creating this business to serve women in my community.

What did/do you find to be the most challenging part of your business? The limiting mindsets that I had were the most challenging part  of getting my business going and fortunately I’m in charge of me and my mind! So a big focus for me is taking care of how I’m feeling and where my focus is hour by hour every day. I’ve learned to be fully aware of myself first and what’s going on in my head, deliberately focusing on the positive and not letting anything negative creep in and take over. I do believe we are creating our worlds and that means paying attention to what I’m doing with my thoughts and my feelings all the time.  It’s powerful and important. Being a solo-preneur can be lonely. When something doesn’t work and there’s no one to talk to but myself about it I discovered after some big disappointments that I’d better conquer my stinking thinking if I want things to work in the business.

What have you learned about yourself during the process of setting up your business? I’ve learned that I’m extremely creative and that I can’t do this alone. Having a team of support people that help me get things done is critical to my being able to really do the work of helping women live their best lesbian lives. I’ve also learned that taking care of myself is extremely important and no one else can do that for me. So I’ve created daily rituals that I follow consistently including meditation, what music I listen to, a daily gratitude journal and a focusing practice that keep me feeling good, focused and strong.

What advice would you give someone considering starting their own business? Plan on things taking longer than you thought. Everything from filling your practice to creating programs to really knowing what your brand and market are about.  Plan for that when you sit down and work on budgets and revenue projections. And recognize that you have to pace yourself or else you’ll burn out.

What products and services do you provide? Right now I’m focused on bringing live workshops to women in various states across the USA – I call it the Gay Girl Love Tour.  In November I’m in Texas all month bringing workshops to Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston. It’s exciting to get out and work with a group of women who all want to change the way they date and find a great relationship. I love sharing the tools, techniques and strategies that are part of the Gay Girl Love Attraction System. I’ve been working on developing this system for the last two years and I’ve really found the best of the best strategies and tools that any woman (yes straight or gay) can take and put to work to create an amazing love.

The goal is of the Gay Girl Love Tour is two fold; introduce more women to Gay Girl Dating Coach and provide dating workshops to help women kick start their dating in a new and empowered direction.

Information on the Gay Girl Love Tour:

I also have an 8 week self study program for highly motivated women who want to move at their own pace through the basics of really effective dating practices.

Gay Girl Super Special Offer:

What is the greatest success story for your business? A client I worked with named Michelle. Her life partner had passed due to cancer and Michelle was having a terrible time trying to find a new relationship after about 3 years. She kept blowing up every relationship she was in due to her fear of being alone, clinginess and extreme emotional swings. Along with that she was sure that she was going to have to sell her house and move 45 minutes away from where she lived to find a new relationship. After working with me for 3 months, she’d finally conquered her fear of being alone and the thing she thought was not possible happened… she met her new life partner who lived two blocks away from her. It’s such a sweet and amazing story because a big limiting belief I hear all the time is that there is no one to date where I live.  I adore my clients and love helping them discover that not only is love possible but a great relationship really can happen for each one of them.

She May Live on Green Acres, But She’s a Perfect ImPerfect Coach!

This month’s WOW is Marketing ImPerfect and iCoach Network’s supremo, Stacy Nelson. I first entered the wonderful world of Mrs. Nelson from connecting online through the icoach network. We instantly hit it off. Stacy’s generosity knows no bounds as she’s one of those people who has your back and doesn’t just talk about what she’s going to do, she actually does it and most likely she’ll have it done 5 minutes later.

I love her no-nonsense approach to marketing. She’s is one of the most authentic people you could ever wish to meet. When it coming to marketing and building your business, Stacy cuts straight through the crap and just gives the pure gold.

Tell me a little about you, your lifestyle and what you are passionate about.

I live in the show Green Acres – My husband comes home and hops on his tractor and I’m trying not to kill myself walking in heels to my car over the dirt and rock driveway. We live on 5 acres in beautiful Southern California, surrounded by wineries and hawks and I love it here. You’d be hard-pressed to convince me to leave my little haven even for the day (and not just because walking to my car is a hazard). We’ve got 2 kiddos, a daughter who is 19 and a son who is 12 and two Australian Shepherds who leave hair everywhere. Everywhere. I am passionate about coaching people. I’m a total bibliophile since we’re one of the few breeds of people who would ever use that word in a sentence. I am secretly a sci-fi/epic fantasy nerd, enjoy cyber-crafting, exploring the woo-woo, making jewelry and generally cracking myself up. I’ll be giggling about this answer for months to come…

So tell me about your business, what is Marketing ImPerfect all about?

Authenticity. Awareness. Audacity.

Collaboration. Consistency. Cashing in.

Marketing ImPerfect is my way of helping my clients break free from the overwhelming task of marketing their businesses. We retrain you to get rid of all the tricks and techniques you are being taught to be the right way to build your business. Because those things are someone else’s ‘right’ way. Not yours! Your marketing and your business come from your heart and when we pull out the ways that you naturally communicate you become client magnetic and the money flows in with ease. Screw the rules… get messy.

What inspired you to make the decision to create your own business?

I am thoroughly un-employable. It wasn’t as much of an inspiration as a mandate from my soul… fluorescent lighting and other people’s businesses were sucking the life out of me (don’t even get me started on dress codes). I’ve been an entrepreneur for over 11 years. I’ve had some total failures, some laughable attempts and some amazing successes. I’ll be honest, launching my coaching business has been all three of those things in progression. I am so grateful that I have had the audacity (or fool heartedness) to keep trying because I’d never have the success I have today without the failures of yesterday. I hope to always have failures to learn from.

Has there always been a burning desire inside you to create this, or did your business evolve from your original idea?

It’s impossible to know where the idea really sparked because I drifted for a long time until I finally landed. I have a long list of businesses I started and with each one I learned so much. I learned how to work from home, how to market myself, how to leverage my resources and I learned more about who I am as a person. And from there my coaching practice began. I started out thinking I would concentrate on Life Coaching and I quickly realized that it wasn’t quite concrete enough for me. I really wanted to give the wealth of knowledge I had garnered over the years in building my businesses and I was conflicted: would coaching people in Marketing, which is so masculine and action driven, match the warm personal growth that launched my Life Coaching practice? So it took a while to reconcile both sides of who I am into one cohesive business. So when I finally ‘got’ it, that as entrepreneurs our businesses ARE personal journeys and marketing is the doorway that allows me to enter into my clients’ lives and remove the personal blocks to their business success everything changed. And my motto became ‘Marketing from your Heart’.

What did/do you find to be the most challenging part of your business?

That totally depends on the day as some days are more challenging than others. For me in my journey I’ve had a couple of consistent challenges I work on. The first is that I’m quick to implement new stuff when I haven’t really given the old stuff their proper due… pretty shiny syndrome is one I’ve had to really outgrow. And the second challenge is keeping my mindset in the right state. It’s a muscle that needs to be exercised daily – because I’ve learned over the years that about 85% of your business isn’t in the actions you take, it’s in the mindset and intentions behind the actions.

What have you learned about yourself during the process of setting up your business?

  1. Being my own person is a non-negotiable.
  2. I have built up high levels of trust in myself and my intuition and will follow it blindly without questions and will always land exactly where I need to be.
  3. I will never be without a coach for myself because the first two things I listed wouldn’t be possible if I were in my own head every day. I need someone backing me up and showing me my blind spots so that I can shine.

What advice would you give someone considering starting their own business?

Don’t waste your time and money taking generic classes -I have a library of courses I’ve purchased over the years and they all come down to the same lessons that aren’t personal to me. Find people who will answer your questions personally, who address you and your business. And then take action – ones that launch you and raise you up.

What products and services do you provide?

It’s all about 1:1 coaching with me at the moment. Taking personal journeys into my clients’ businesses and creating marketing plans that work for them in an authentic and EASY manner.

What is the greatest success story for your business?

I don’t think I can answer this question well because every week, each of my clients has this breakthrough that leaves me breathless, tears in my eyes as I see them reaching and exceeding their goals. Leaders are being made and then they go out and they impact other people’s lives. It’s a ripple effect that starts with me and you. I don’t have one success story. I have daily successes filling my heart. So perhaps that’s my greatest success… the lives I’ve been fortunate enough to impact and the freedom I’ve helped my clients create. It happens every hour of every work day.

Have you got your Life GPS switched on

This month’s WOW is Elise Krentzel who is a living testament of how you are the driver in your life and when you encounter change such as divorce, midlife crisis or change of career, your inner resources will help with the transition. Once you install the correct beliefs and coordinates you’ll have all the tools you need yo set your Life GPS

Tell me a little about you, your lifestyle and what you are passionate about?I’m passionate about raising my son, enjoying nature, writing, people and all the arts – performing, visual and plastic.

So tell me about your business, who/what is LifeGPS all about? I founded & created LifeGPS, an integrated coaching system of freedom for body, heart & mind because of all the suffering and powerlessness I found in people, even so-called powerful people.

I wanted to give them a product to help them free their small mindedness as they went through mid-life crisis, divorce, career change, stress or indecision making.

What inspired you to make the decision to create your own business? This is my 3rd business. What inspired me for LifeGpS was my the disharmony in my life. My husband and I split and after a hiatus of 7 years, raising my son and having sold my former publishing company, I needed to get on my feet again.

Has there always been a burning desire inside you to create this, or did your business evolve from your original idea?

My businesses have always evolved from original ideas. I specialize in taking abstract concepts and making them practical. Delivering ideas to form.

What did/do you find to be the most challenging part of your business? Having no funds to begin with. What have you learned about yourself during the process of setting up your business?

Patience is a virtue. Belief in myself and product offerings will get me through the toughest of times. Not allowing anyone or anything to get me off course. Taking time to get clear on who my clients are is crucial to attracting those clients. The knowledge I had about technolgy was 10 years old.

What advice would you give someone considering starting their own business?

First go with your passion, whatever that is. Do not allow the competition, a  perceived lack of resources or skills hinder you. Develop your concept to the finest detail.

What products and services do you provide? I offer transformational coaching packages in person or Skype, an at home course book, downloadable meditation CDs and retreats in the USA and abroad.

What is the greatest success story for your business? The healing, rejuvination and enthusiastic lives of my clients. Please see the Gratitudes page of my website

Young Women – Are you EMPOWERED?

This Week’s #WOW is Allison Kramer, who is a Life Coach for Young Women. Allison’s work is much needed as having a young daughter myself who’ll be turning 13 this year, I’ve seen first-hand what a confusing time it is for her as she grows into a young woman. As a parent wanting to give her independence while at the same time wanting to protect and guide her as best we can. With today’s fast paced lifestyle, with our kids been constantly bombarded with media images of how you should look and feel, having a support network is vital. I did a talk recently for a group of women all under 25; I was shocked that their self-confidence was so low. Here I was in a room full of gorgeous young women who were so confused and unsure of themselves. I remember at that age being so self-confident, ready to take on the world. So what’s changed in a decade? Allison shares more about her life changing work below.

Tell me a little about you, your lifestyle and what you are passionate about.

My name is Allison Kramer. I am a Life Coach for Young Women. I work with women (15 to 25 years old) empowering them to have a fulfilling life that is all about purpose, passion, and pride. I believe that at their age it is important to break free from others’ expectations and learn to find their own. As a mother of two teenagers, I know firsthand the struggles parents face raising young women. The pressures are overwhelming for young women to meet unrealistic standards. I am passionate about using creative ways to show women their power, self-worth, and truth.

So tell me about your business, what is xoallison all about?

Xoallison life coaching for young women is about being real, being fun, and learning to express yourself. I run kick-ass craft workshops that include a coaching component. I work one-on-one with young women who want to make a forward-moving change in their life.

What inspired you to make the decision to create your own business?

My transition from high school to college was “predictable” in that I did exactly what I had been told to do: “you graduate high school and go to college.” It wasn’t until I truly learned about myself that I was able to make decisions to change my path. The coaching I do today for young women is encouraging them to listen to their gut and know their truth. Most of all it is about learning to TRUST themselves. It took me a long time to learn that skill, and my hope is that with my support as their coach their journey will be shorter!

Has there always been a burning desire inside you to create this, or did your business evolve from your original idea?

I have always been a nurturer and mentor-type leader, but didn’t realize it was my calling until working with my own creative life coach. As I explored my life purpose, my desire to work with young women in their pursuit of happiness emerged. I have always loved working with people, so coaching was a transition that fit into my life, the addition of my coaching business provides the opportunity to help empower young women to live the life they desire.

What did/do you find to be the most challenging part of your business?

I know what I have to offer young women, but I have struggled with the financial aspects. Asking for payment for something I love and hold so close to my heart was difficult at first. I have gotten much better with time. Everything has value, and when I learned to see money as an exchange of value for my services it was easier.

What have you learned about yourself during the process of setting up your business?

There is no “right” formula when you start your own business. You have to believe in what you are doing and do it your way! You also need support: family, friends and colleagues that believe in your mission. “Trusting your truth” and “putting it out there” have been my go-to phrases for moving my business to the next level.

What advice would you give someone considering starting their own business?

Be patient and do it YOUR way!

What products and services do you provide?

I have a WEEKLY CREATIVE WISDOM newsletter that goes out to inspire women to give something a little extra thought that week. Sign up at

I do talks for women’s groups and organizations. I also run KICK ASS workshops. My one-on-one life coaching packages, I strongly encourage a minimum of 3 months – these are done in person, via phone or skype.

What is the greatest success story for your business?

What I love about coaching young women is that it is all the little changes taking place. Coaching a 25 year old woman who put herself through college, survived an abusive relationship, and own her own home then realize she is empowered to take a job that is “not what she was supposed to be doing” is just a small example. Another is a client that took a “huge risk” to live true to her values by living a life full of adventure. I celebrate these moments and more, as well as living true to my life purpose as the success story of my business.

Does Your Health Determine Your Wealth?

This Week’s #WOW is Health and Lifestyle Coach – The Nutrition Mom, Stephanie Merchant. Shares how to create a business that not only supports others, it also supports her family. I just love Stephanie’s candid honesty around the challenges of creating and sustaining a successful business alongside all her other mommy duties. Her tips and strategies are invaluable as she so rightly says (as this is how it is in my house) “When momma is healthy and happy, the family is healthy and happy.”

Tell me a little about you, your lifestyle and what you are passionate about.

I am a health & lifestyle coach that turned my life around when I hit 40. I was a junk food junkie that was over worked, over stressed and overweight. I lost 50 lbs, left a legal career behind and went back to school at 42. I was my own first client. I now have such a passion to help other busy Mommas put themselves back on their priority list and find health and happiness. Because when Momma is healthy and happy, the family is healthy and happy.

Side note – My husband also lost 50 lbs and found his inner athlete. He now runs ½ marathons and is a tri-athlete.

So tell me about your business, what is “The Nutrition Mom” all about?

I am “The Nutrition Mom.” I am a health & lifestyle coach. My tag line is “Simple – Healthy – Solutions.” I work with women worldwide through group programs and one-on-one sessions. I have a holistic approach to health and wellness. I focus on how we nourish ourselves in all ways – not just through food. But, we do start with food and also focus on self-care.

What inspired you to make the decision to create your own business?

Through my own transformation, and in helping myself, I discovered I had such a passion to help others. And as I continued to make changes for myself, more people were seeking me out for advice. I knew in my heart that changing careers and starting my own business would be the next steps in my journey.

Has there always been a burning desire inside you to create this, or did your business evolve from your original idea?

I always knew I wanted to own my own business. I lost that dream and followed the standard path after college. I don’t think I had the passion and drive for it back then. But, when I embraced this new lifestyle and let go of limiting beliefs, I totally embraced the idea and knew that this is what I needed to do – for me and for others. This is my true calling.

But yes, even the coaching path has evolved. I originally thought I would open a Wellness Center in my area, but then I realized the outreach of the Internet. My goal is to reach as many Mommas as I can with my message – and now I have an unlimited reach and have clients worldwide.

What did/do you find to be the most challenging part of your business?

Balance. I am so passionate about what I do, I sometimes find it a challenge to balance my time with all of my other Mommy duties.

What have you learned about yourself during the process of setting up your business?

Through trial and error – how important scheduling is and also not to attempt to do everything myself.

What advice would you give someone considering starting their own business?

If you have the desire, the passion, the deep down pull – don’t ignore it. The world needs what you have to share. Go for it with everything you’ve got. Let your passion show through. Embrace and share your talents – like only you can.

What products and services do you provide?

I have created programs for the issues that I have found my clients need the most. I have a very popular Cleanse (Clean Eating Program) called “The Renew Cleanse.” I have a “STOP the Overwhelm – Simple, Healthy, Solutions for Mealtime Success.” And in January 2012, I created an on-line community called “The Inner Circle.” This is a monthly membership program that provides my coaching, accountability, support, expert interviews, inspiring Mom testimonials and so much more. I am really excited about it. It is a great way to ensure ongoing success.

What is the greatest success story for your business?

All of my clients hold such special places in my heart. I always say that their success is my success. I have had several clients follow my path and not only change their lifestyle, but change careers as well because they want to go on to help others. That is the ripple effect in motion and it is just amazing to be a part of.

But, my greatest success is found in my own home with my own family. I know I was headed in the wrong direction and I know that I was taking my family with me. We all have had a new beginning and that is true success.
