I live in Ireland on top of a beautiful small mountain.

I have to say about my lifestyle … a lot of the places around me look like Middle Earth. I only bring this up because it’s a fun example of how the Universe delivers what you ask for. When the Lord of the Rings films came out I SOOOOO wanted to visit Middle Earth with its beautiful nature. I was even happy to go without hospitals if I could have a healing elve around me!

Then one summer evening I was driving home from Northern Ireland and it was 9:30 in the evening. Because we’re so far north the sun hadn’t set yet and everything was bathed in golden light. To my right was a silvery lough (river) with a small island in it with a couple of hundred people living there. Ahead was a hill with castle-like tower. Way up high to my left was an old Druid fort. And mountains behind me.

Everything in my life was flowing and good and easy.

I suddenly realised that the Universe had delivered to me exactly what I had asking for – my own version of Middle Earth without me having to do anything except show up.

And I didn’t have even have to give up my mani-pedis and electricity to get it! I am so lucky because I live in Ireland and can enjoy the more relaxed approach here and I still have all my USA connections (I’ve lived half my life there) and style of business. Plus clients and friends around the world. I always dreamed of a global lifestyle on my own terms and I have it!

Which leads me into what I’m passionate about … that we are lucky enough to live in a time where we CAN live life on our own terms (whatever that means to each person) and to ignore those possibilities would be unfortunate.

I’m passionate about and a stand for Happily Ever After and True Love. I used to be afraid of being seen as a fluffy bunny for saying that but eventually I got over it. I’m no fluffy bunny (not that there’s anything wrong with being in the Leporidae family.)

Like Abraham-Hicks says ‘The basis of our life is freedom. The purpose of our life is joy.’ Why not True Love and Happily Ever After? We create our reality so why not create one with all that deliciousness in it? Again it comes back to living life on our own terms, not taking on the old sad stories of previous generations.

And speaking of stories … I am SO passionate about story. Stories are timeless and extremely powerful and they are an integral part of what makes us humans. Can you imagine a world without stories in it? It’s unfathomable right?

I am a storyteller and write novels, romance novels specifically. Did you know that it’s the highest-selling fiction genre and even in a recession it’s not only profitable but growing? I bring that up because it shows what a deep need we have for good story, romance, and happily ever after.

Today I combine all those things and bring true love, mentoring women and story together in my business so they can create MAGIC in their lives

So tell me about your business, who is Unleashing Aphrodite  all about? Unleashing Aphrodite was born out of passion and inspiration on a sunny summer day in London, after I finally claimed my own lover goddess side and let her out to play. Aphrodite is the Greek Goddess of Love, Beauty, Sensuality and Pleasure. All qualities somewhat frowned upon in our results-driven, post-feminist world right?

How Do You Love?

This week’s #WOW is Marian Meade. A specialist who provides couples who are either dating, engaged or newlywed with the support and education they need to create lasting relationships. A former psychotherapist Marian helps couples come together to learn the secrets of living happily ever after. I kind of think of relationships being like, having your first child, with everyone expecting to know how to deal with every situation that comes up, but in fact very few do. Just having someone there to guide you along when you experience any conflicts makes it so much easier. It also gives  you a better understanding of what’s involved and how to resolve things quickly and create a happier life for you and your partner. How do I find my Soulmate?

I have the great privilege to be interviewing this week’s #WOW Dr lara Fernandez, who along with her husband and soulmate Johnny are on a mission to help others worldwide to create a life that they truly love with the love of their life by their side. Writing up this interview has made me realise that perhaps I’ve been blessed to have found mine and can’t actually believe it’ll be 18 years together this year – #WOW that’s half my life with my man. 

 Sometimes maybe I’ve taken for granted what seemly came easily to us, he’s my first and only love. I remember being told years before ever meeting him from one of my guides who gave me his name (which was pretty unusual name), and how many children we’d have. Of course at the time I dismissed this and didn’t take much notice. Imagine my surprise when I did eventually meet him and he told me his name. Gobsmacked. So we were destined to be together, the universe had set it all up.

 So if you haven’t been fortunate enough to find your soulmate Lara, could be your answer to fulfil your destiny. Lara and Johnny have helped hundreds of people open up to love, create the life they desire, and attract true love.

Tell me a little about you , your lifestyle and what you are passionate about? I am in love with my life right now. I am living the life of my dreams with my soulmate by my side, our amazing 10 year old daughter, and living in a gorgeous little town by the water here in Northern California. I live about 30 seconds from the water, and my husband and I “commute” everyday by walking along the beautiful marina to our office. I am truly passionate about inspiring and modelling for women and girls to step into and fully own and express their power. I believe the world is a better place when more and more women and girls know who they truly are and own it fully.

So tell me about your business, what is LifeLaunch Training all about? My husband and I help single, spiritual and successful women do the inner work and inner evolution in order to know their power and attract the love of their life and subsequently, the life of their dreams. We do this by live, transformational, highly experiential workshops, group coaching programs, and telecourses.

What lead you to making the decision of creating your own business? I’ve always been an entrepreneur. Both Johnny and I intentionally and on purpose did the inner work to find one another. Now we teach others to do the same.

Has there always been a burning desire inside you to create this or did it your business evolve from your original idea? This business evolved from people asking me, how did you do it? How did you attract this amazing man who adores you? And then… can you help me with that?

What did/do you find to be the most challenging part of your business?  Explaining that our teaching isn’t about “getting the guy”or just “getting a date”- you can get a date, tonight. It’s so easy nowadays with online dating sites. It’s about you living your best and most empowered life at the highest vibration possible and then consciously attracting the man of your dreams who fits into your vision for your life. It’s challenging to educate women to slow down, stop the ‘grasping’ for a man, any man… to embrace themselves and their dreams fully.

What have you learned about yourself during the process of setting up your business? That we are all one and very connected. Whatever I’m going through in my life, on some level, so are my clients.

What advice would you give someone considering starting their own business? The mindset shift from employee to entrepreneur is the biggest hurdle you will ever face. You will need to let go of ANY victim mentality, and take 100% responsibility for your life and your biz.

What products and services do you provide ? Group coaching programs, workshops, telecourses, some high-level one-on-one coaching

What is the greatest success story for your business? There are so many. I have gone to 2 client weddings in the last 4 months, will be going to another in just a few weeks, 2 baby showers and another one coming up soon, plus another client wedding this summer. That doesn’t count the 5 weddings over the last 8 months that I didn’t attend! I love my life!
